In the summer of 2016 I was given the opportunity to work as the intern for Warwick Township. My coworkers and I were a wonderful match, so much so, I was offered to come back the next summer. Through my two years there, I have grown into a true professional, and developed skills that I can bring to any work environment. I was given a lot of responsibilities, which helped me learn about myself.

As the intern, I was seated at the front desk and was responsible for answering phones, scheduling appointments, accepting/logging transactions, and more. Working face-to-face with customers daily was an experience that taught me to be patient and respectful under all circumstances. I also was given the opportunity to handle transactions and log them to a general ledger in Excel, which was good experience for basic accounting functions.

In my second year, I was responsible for two separate projects, in which I was given freedom to complete in the manner I decided. Since I was the only one on the job, I learned to work through issues on my own and be responsible for an entire project.

I think my two years at Warwick Township has prepared me well to work as a professional for any type of business and in any business environment.
